A Refreshing Refresh
Although this home would have benefitted greatly from a media blast or chemical strip, it wasn’t in the budget. A good wash & restain freshened it quite a bit after repairing log rot and hand-sanding sun damaged areas.

Neglected and overgrown, the finish on this log cabin hadn't been attended to in many years.

Our consultation pointed our client to keeping his bushes and other vegetation better trimmed and away from the house.

Vegetation should be 24" or greater in distance from a log home to mitigate damage from moisture and pests.

Ivy growing on the home is never a good thing. It compromises log finish, invites moisture, and can act as a ladder introducing critters in your eaves & attic.

Inner corners needed to be covered and sealed.

This south-facing wall bears the brunt of the harsh summer sun.

This wall weathered inconsistently and also required some sanding to ensure a good reapplication of the stain.

Here, some log rot has been removed and it's being prepped for repair.

Splash back from the deck over time created opportunities for mold and mildew to wreak havoc on the siding of this hexagonal bump out.

Our team skillfully cut and replaced siding on the hexagonal bump out for a seamless fit.
